O2 and McDonald’s Franchisors seek Social Media Superstars
Two of Manchester’s leading franchisors are looking for social media apprentices to join their Manchester based teams.
McDonald’s franchise, McDonald’s Manchester City Centre and O2 franchise, MID Communications, are looking for young people from the local area to help establish their social media accounts.
A selection boot camp for the roles will be held at The Juice Academy, the UK’s first industry-led social media apprenticeship programme, on the morning of Tuesday 18th July in Manchester.
As part of their day-to-day role, the chosen apprentices will play a vital part in social media and digital strategy for their franchise, bringing to life lessons learnt from the training programme.
Danny Simpson, CEO of MID Communications, said: “We are really excited to welcome our new apprentice, who we are sure will help us work towards our goal of being a leader within O2 franchise in the UK.
“This will be a great opportunity for any young person, to help us drive the MID Communications Brand along with the exciting, national family loved O2 brand, with its award winning product and services. We can’t wait to meet them at the boot camp.”
Apprentices will receive a package including a £9,000 salary and a graduation bonus of £2,500 while gaining a level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing, as well as a level 4 award in Digital Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. They will also be given coding lessons from Northcoders.
Alongside this, the apprentices will gain sound industry advice and insight from PR and marketing specialists while training concurrently at The Juice Academy.
There are 22 other employers attending the boot camp, including Manchester Airport, events space Victoria Warehouse and football betting site, Redarmybets, and more businesses wanting to join.
